NOP is a 64kb Intro made for the Saturne Party III hold in Chelles (France)
the 26th, 27th, and 28th April 1996.

                                  CREDITS (A-Z:-)

                              Code: Pollux / Olympus
Music: Toal Nkor / Real Tech
                           Objects: Pollux & Toal Nkor

The Gus Player was written by FrontMan of Crew 242

                            HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

80386 compatible processor or better. I (Pollux) probably won't support 386CPU
a next time. Even the 486 age is over, that's now P5 rules. I think
      NOP won't me viewable on a 386.
80387 NPX, or 486DX and P5 enclosed FPU. Sorry for those who haven't got
a numeric processor, you should run an emulator (NOP will take a lot
      of time to initialize...).
 580kb of conventionnal memory.
1136kb of XMS memory (because 640kb isn't enough for every one ;-). NOP can
run with or without EMS but for speed raison you should kill your EMM.
Gravis UltraSound for the compo version. Watch out for a SB version soon.

                                  APOLOGIES

Sorry for the slow code used but I hadn't enough time to work a lot on it.
And since I have a P5 I don't realy smell what is slow or what is fast.

ToalNkor said "Chips are shits" and he marked his one 5.5/20.

Some people think that intros musn't look like mini-demos as NOP do. I am in a
full aggree with them. I love these one-effect-style intros like Bill G Force
(Complex) or Magic Carpet (KLF). Unfortunatly I am coding in a learning aim,
I prefer to make a lot of small effects than a big one for now. There is a lot
of code methods I still didn't have, that's why I try to do various things.
Contact me, I have a lot of questions for you, hehehe...

                           TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
                            and SELF-CRITICS :-)

All 3D objects of this intro was rendered with environnemental mapping rules.
Except some of them wich were mapped in addition. I did not want to call it
phong, Mythos/RealTime (hello) would have killed me.

The idea of pixel mix used in the tunnel effects is taken from the demo
Project XYZ (Orange).

There are no credits for the font used because it comes from your Bios. Look,
it not the same on each machines...

Except the terribly slow julias wich are only 160x100 (16 colors), the whole
demo run in 320x200.

I apologie again for the slow julia, it's because my inner loop is (shame on
me) a CALL et I used a too high precision MUL (this should have no effect on
P5). Perhaps I should have done that in two colors, it would have been so
fast...:-)

3D objects aren't computed by NOP. I hadn't enough time and courage to do this.

I use a simplified normal vectors computation so all the object do not look
like they should. But who cares ?

0 liter of Coca Cola were drinked during the making of NOP.

                           POLLUX'S MUM (SPECIMEN)

PLX: You won't love the music, the size constrained the musician to use
     very small samples.
MUM: Small what ? The trumpet (?) melody is nice but why didn't he use some
real instruments for the backround ? The whole music sounds synthetic.

MUM: Baaaaaa! This look like some rotten cellular virus.
PLX: It's a julia !
MUM: She isn't beatifull.
