    NOTHING and MORE

 Introduction:Ŀ

Here it is. The first Alpine production: A 64k-Intro for Wired '97.
First of all, we're sorry for releasing such a low-quality-intro. We would
have liked to release a better one as our first, but we lacked extremely
of time. In fact the essence of an intro, i.e the effects, were just
thrown together in a few days.
Most of the time was spent on our 3D-Engine and our Music-system.
Unfortunately you can't see much of the power hidden in the
  3D-Engine ( Just this gouraud-shaded Logo... )
As to the Player: It is a S3M-Player with real panning support ( which was
neither used in this intro ) It supports SB/SBPro/SB16-Cards ( AFAIK it was
the only intro using the SB16 of the competition-compi ) but unfortunately
no GUS ( as you might have noticed, but this will change soon... ;)

 Effects:Ŀ

Fire-Intro...: Some Sync with player, particle fire, twice blurred.
Sky-Generator: Filled Circles, 5 times wind, 5 times blurred.
  Nothing-Logo.: gouroud-shading...
The 3DEngine would have supported Env-Mapping, but it just
                 looked ugly with the Sky-Texture...
Tunnel.......: Really nothing special: Cache-optimized, depth-shading...
  Z-Bobs.......: rendered with POV-Ray ;) , Z-Buffering, 2 Rotations with
                 varying radiuses...
  Endscroller..: Just that.

All in all just old and not very interesting stuff... :(
