hm

whats this?

this is a music disk.

you can recognize that by the presence of four files ending with .xm

these are normally so-called "modules" which you can play with a player.

i prefer FastTracker ][ (the original) or Cubic Player v2.00alpha++ with
the cpitpl3b extension.

some of you might ask now "is he nuts? how can he propose cubic for playing?"
well, that has one simple reason: i helped a lot debugging cp2.0's xm player,
so i can be sure the thing plays at least MY tunes right.

and please, dont use any other player. no mikxm, no xtcplay, no modplug, no
nothing. they all have their mistakes.

about these tunes

all of these four tunes have been used (or at least were intended to be used)
in various german disk mags or party reports. as there are many of you who
dont know them or want to have them in a stand-alone version (none of the
reports had an extract option :), i decided to put them together and release
them a second time ;)

ok.

btw. dont expect any musical niveau or stuff here. these are musics intended
to run in the BACKGROUND of something claiming to be more important, so i
primarily tried to make them sound good and let them become something like
a "flow" ... oh god, what am i talking ybout, if you are interested, you
surely already KNOW what i mean.

anyway.

some words about the tunes:

autark2.xm
- done for the first issue of the diskmag "autark" by the german group n-
factor. this diskmag was IMHO really great, as it also contained political
articles and stuff, but there was never more than this first issue. a pity
  i think.

kb_oxy14.xm
- done for the Mekka/Symposium '97 report by the group Sanction (the same
group which coded XTC-Play and these really great 4K intros (if you havent
  got Omniscent, GET IT! NOW!))
- a tribute to a composer which hasnt really got to be named now. just listen
  and you'll know

kbostel.xm
- again a Mekka/Symposium'97 report (werent there OTHER musicians there than
me? where did these 800 ppl come from? eh?). this time it should have been
from the groups real and fbk, but they never released the thing. ok, maybe
  next year :)

kb_dawn.xm
- done for the Evoke'97 report by Delta.Pi... an old tune of mine which i
finished in a hurry. containing really strange sequences, kraftwerk style
and bad vocals of a former girlfriend of mine.

ok, that was it.

emails concerning this and other me-related isues to kb@dn.demo.org

thanx.
