system req.:
                - a AMD-compatible processor.
                  this might be:
                    - an AMD-K6,
                    - an AMD-K5,
                    - an IBM/Cyrix M1/M2,
                    - an UMC
                    - or even a fucking Intel.
                  this processor should
                    a.) work,
b.) have at least some mhz, 100 or 120 should be
                        enough.
c.) have no bugs. (so, an intel might NOT work.
                        don't know.)

MMX is ABSOLUTELY NOT required, and NOT used!

                - a monitor, capable of at least 640x480 in some colors
                - a graphic-adapter, preferable with some MB of video-ram,
well, it must be at least 2MB to watch the report in
true-color, or 1MB to watch it in high-color.
                - a GOOD vbe. UniVBE isn't THAT good, it causes much
trouble. generally, your VBE should be a 2.0 one, capable
of setting up a mode with 640 pixels counted from left to
right, and 480 lines, with a linear frame buffer.
(well, if you find a VESA-1.2-vbe with LFB, this might even
                   work ;)
                  to make it short:
                   640x480x15/16/32, LFBed.
24bit is NOT yet supported, give me a 24bit-capable
graphic-adapter, and i will support this.
(yes, really, bring me your SVGA-card live at the party,
                   and i'll fix that. :)
                - a mouse would be nice but is not required,
                - a joystick is totally unusable,
                - a keyboard would be nice but you can use your mouse, too.
                - a soundcard, if you want to hear any music.
the incredible indoor music system is used, so you haven't
to care about anything, i hope.
if there is a serious bug, please report it. there is
really a chance to remove it ;)
                - Pure DOS WORKS, Win9x DOS-box should work, WinNT won't
work, i think, Linux DOSEMU might work (without sound?)
                - a not-too-dumb user.

command line:
                [-nosound] [-bpp <15|16|32>]
force nosound. force <15|16|32> bits per pixel.

yeah, that's all, have fun.

and, you might report bugs or contact us because you don't like this report
        - live at TP8, just find somebody belonging to DAZE in hall 3
(we've got that CDRs on the TP-wire to the ceiling), or
        - in an eMail, send it to tmbinc@gmx.net.

(since the party is actually over, the only way is the second way.)

                                                        tmB.Inc /daze

some final notes:
 - tp 8 suxx. there are more gamers than sceners, that's a fact. the
competitions were not really rocking, and on the servers there were
more porn, mp3s and w***z than demos.
even hall 3 polluted by quake-lamers this time.
this situation was even worse because there should be a halflife-
competition, fortunally there weren't enough people :)

now we all stayed awake, we sleeped only 2 hours, so don't expect
a bugless, well-styled production, just some fun.

don't miss ms '99, a REAL scene event. where? who? when? ms.demo.org.
