demo i started doing after the greetro, since before the greetro i wanted to quit coding pascal (thats why the greetro is in final dir)
but i failed when i fell in love with this old vim tune. i had so many ideas to sync it. i just had to try them out.
finally i found a place where to show my new "oil" effect which is just 2 weird blurs without screen flip actually... looked alot better with more colors (its on psfx dir somewhere...)
it also features some transparencie (with linear palete its SOO easy to do...)
the sounds ARE with the noise and the music is really weird!! the player fucks it up but not THAT bad.. :) vim is a master! he still hasnt seen the demo for all i know but i asked for his permission and he said he trusted me so.. cool! :)
i used the stars into snow effect i had been thinking of putting in some place for quite some time, the stupid 3d block which i had nothin to fill it with instead or i would have (just trying to keep music playing) and in the end a reasonably fast rotozoomer to show you all that i have optimized my code since skyscape!!! (i used floats on those days.. ack!!!)
the garbage is putten down by dumping random dots pure and simply.. :)
i took this one to arf!party 99 with me since i didnt felt like doing another demo. this was on april99. before takeover. i met almost all my french friends there and some rather known sceners. i got 2nd last place in the demo compo. i was really disapointed with the voting on arf. it was since then that i have realized that everyone votes for themselfs and not on the productions they like. unlike who have always voted honestly. well.. i didnt expect to bring anything home either so it didnt really mattered.. :P
