These are the things we would like to implement next:

  - snapshot format to freeze the emulation state;

  - `true' P00 support with the real names;

  - VIC20 memory handling from the menus;

  - VIC20/C64 cartridge support;

  - faster and (maybe) cycle-exact SID (the current version is
    sample-accurate);

  - filters in the SID emulation;

  - warn about disabling/enabling true1541 in the middle of loading;

  - different ROM entries for PET 3032/4032/8032;

  - better handling of REU load/save;

  - one option to reset the machine and load files without doing a manual
    LOAD;

  - FS-based drive on any serial device, not just #11;

  - better, possibly cycle-based, emulation of the VIC-I chip;

  - improved monitor;

  - more accurate REU emulation (maybe add a 16 Mbyte mode);

  - code cleanup (work is in progress, but it's still a bit ugly-looking
    in several places);

  - more ports (MacOS, Win32...);

  - 1351 mouse emulation on MS-DOS.

We are sorry but we really cannot keep up with the x128 development. x128
(the C128 emulator, that was included in VICE 0.10.0 and 0.11.0) will not be
maintained any longer, though we would like it to be. If you feel like you
can help the project and keep x128 alive, you are of course welcome to send
your contributions. [notice that `our' x128 has nothing to do with the X128
ZX-Spectrum Emulator, whose name was chosen independently]
