 History:

Autoview V1.00 This had a bug which prevented it from working in high res.

Autoview V1.01 Bug fixed. Now mono compatible.

Autoview V2.00 First attempt at complete rewrite. Not released.

Autoview V2.20 Added extension search. More error routines. Didn't work on
                 half meg machines.

Autoview V2.24 Works with half meg ST's but picture file or music file had to
be omitted. This was due to bad memory allocation.

Autoview V2.25 This version. Works fully on meg systems. Should be okay in
high res and on the Falcon (quit inoperable).

Autoview started life a simple ascii text reader which would load and display
a READ.ME file on boot up. From there it has progressed very quickly to the
state at which you see it now. It now has the ability to play Mad Max music
files, display Degas or Neo screens, use alternative font sets and read ascii
files of various extensions.

The Autoview program should reside in an auto folder or be installed as an
application (1MB TOS 1.4 or above) and any files which are to be loaded MUST be
put in a folder named AUTOVIEW. The only compulsory file is the ascii text and
all others may be omitted if desired.

Music: These must be Mad Max music files (*.MUS) or files with an identical
offset of no greater than 20000 bytes in length.

Pictures: Neochrome (*.NEO) or Degas normal screens (*.PI?) may be used. All
three resolutions are supported for Degas.
Fonts: Only STOS character sets can be loaded (*.MBK). These should be 2322
bytes long.
Text: Text must be in ascii format and may have any of these extensions; *.ASC,
*.TXT, *.DOC, *.LET, *.1ST, *.NOW, *.ME.

 Enjoy.
