VIDBLITZ is a small utility I wrote that I thought I would share with you all.
The purpose of this program is to determine the performance of your video
card. When you run the program, your screen turns black for a few seconds.
During this time, VIDBLITZ writes and reads data to and from video memory,
timing the results. The timing statistics appear on the screen afterwards.

I wrote this program since none of the existing video card test-utilities
seemed to clock what is important to me: Raw DOS Transfers. Included in the
file ET4W32P.TXT are the results from my own video card, a Tseng ET4000/W32P
PCI card. In the file VIDCARDS.TXT you can find the timing results from
several other video cards. These timings come from the people who have sent
me the results from their video card. I would be happy if you would send me
the results from YOUR card. You can do this in the following way:

Pipe the timing results to a file:

VIDBLITZ -S > MYCARD.TXT

Edit the text file and insert the following important machine
specifications:

- The CPU clock speed and the brand/model of your CPU
- The brand/model of your video card (including the chipset)
- The type and amount of video RAM on the video card
- The bus type and bus version

Example:

"INTEL 80486 DX/2 processor running at 66.67 (67) Mhz VESA Local Bus Diamond
Stealth 32 (TSENG ET4000/w32p chipset) with 2 MB DRAM installed"

Please be sure to include all this information. The information will be added
to the VIDCARDS.TXT file.

NOTE: 386 or older processors and ISA/MCA/EISA bus systems will not be added
to the list of video cards.

Print out the file and send it to the following address:

Thank you very much. I hope you enjoy this small utility.
