A short message by Ryan Cramer...

Overall, all of the music files presented in this contest were better then
I expected. Each and every musician that entered this contest showed
themselves to be promising musicians, and some showed themselves to already
be experienced composers. There were a few songs that I just could not
believe how good they were.

I made a lot of comments on each song, and I rated them all against
eachother, not against other tunes that I may have heard before that are
not in this contest. I hope that my comments do not seem negative, remember
that this is all constructive criticism. And also keep in mind that these
are the judges' OPINIONs, and that means that not all criticism is right.
We are just rating to the best of our abilities. I know something about
music, but I am certainly far from an expert...

For those that entered the contest, don't feel bad if your music was
criticised in anyway, remember that they are just opinions, and what may
sound bad to one person, might sound entirely different to another. Thats
what makes music such a hard thing to judge. :)

A short message from Snowman...

Also keep in mind that all of the judges are heavily affiliated with the
computer music world. Two are sysops of huge BBSs that are specifically
geared towards computer music. One has actually invented a new file format
of computer music, and one is the author of the Music Contest itself. While
the following are OPINIONS, they should at least be taken seriously.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following is a list of all judges:

Daniel Goldstein (author of MultiTracker Module editor)
Rob Butler (sysop of Music Connection BBS)
Ryan Cramer (musician for Renaissance/substitute voter/did not vote on
his own song, we averaged out the scores of the other 3 judges to attain
  the last set of scores)
Snowman (author of the Music Contest)

-Daniel Potter (author of Farandole composer/not able to vote due to time
     constraints)
-Mike Phillips (sysop of Digital Oxygene BBS/not able to vote due to family
     illness)
