GSS Graphical Sound System (c) 1995 John Meacham
			    Version 1.00

Usage: none. any option brings this screen.

The program wil attempts to detect your Sound Blaster card manually
be sure that your BLASTER envirnment is set, otherwise it will not
be able to properly set up the soundcard. Also if you wish
to use a CD or MIC or LINE-IN as input you need to set up the mixer
with the utility suplied with your soundcard (i.e. SB16SET.EXE)
to enable input from whatever source you wish. It may already be done by
  default.

THIS PROGRAM REQUIRES A VGA DISPLAY AND A MATH CO-PROCESSOR TO RUN!
(a math coprocessor is not required to run but I wouldnt run it
without one! to see what it is like without one you can set 87=N
in your envirnment to run it without using the coprocessor be sure
	to set it back though.)

NOTE: the 486DX and better CPU's have math coprocessors built in that
will work dandy with this program.

  WHAT IT DOES:
This program will take the input of any sound blaster
compatable card and display the waveform near the top
of the screen and the FFT (spectrum analysis) at the bottom
I wrote it to put on when I played a CD through my CD-ROM
and needed something to look at <grin>.

If your still not sure what it does, run it and find out.
(it wont do much without some input like a CD or MIC.)

Contributions of source code, ideas, money, or organs will be
very graciously accepted. when in doubt you can e-mail me
(it's cheap!) I would probably be willing to give out the
source for one of the aformentioned items. I'm always
looking for new and interesting C or C++ source and ideas for future?
versions. This was written in Turbo C++ 3.0 (yes it ACTUALLY uses
   C++ classes!)

Well I programmed this as a test for some new FFT (spectrum) routines
I had aquired and thought it was pretty neat so i would release it

PS e-mail me if you find this useful or neat or a waste of space!
I want to see what people think so i know if I should devote more
time to it and make future versions!
or if you have any queations about the source or FFT's or anything
then you can e-mail me too! Have Fun.
