Don't Get Around Much Anymore (DontGet.S3M)

Hello there.

Welcome to another of my pieces of music. This was a transcription
(wow big word!) of this particular tune from a book of jazz tunes.
You'll have to excuse the size of the file. These composers
have a tendancy to use rather more than two or three chords, and without
these extra chords jazz would be a lame form of pop, I'm sure. So in this
file you'll find a number of finger bending jazz chords. The usual
flattened ninth never turned up, funnily enough, nor any diminished or
augmented, but who's complaining?

It's funny, when you make a computer play a tune you realise just how
bad you actually play it. Doesn't it make you sick? Well perhaps not.
I suppose, mind you, I can give music emotion unlike you Mr.Computer who
just follows a script as the programmer says so. Ha!
Hmmm... I wrote this on Screamtracker 3 in a couple of hours couped up
in my bedroom. Isn't it great? Here I am, 18 going on 19, I'm quite exciting
when I'm not stuffed in my bedroom bending my eyes open in front of the
monitor, and I've never had a girlfriend because I've always been considered
a "boff." BOFF! ME?! If that was the reason, half of my friends wouldn't have
girlfriends either! Oh yeah, they haven't.

Anyway enough of my problems! It's nearly 10:25pm 19/1/95 and I'm just a
little annoyed. But never-the-less (oh, that's a lyric in this song!) I'll
cheer up just so I don't depress the rest of the country, and make everyone
think I'm a sad pointless being transcribing jazz pieces to the computer.

By the way, has anyone noticed just how amazingly bad all of the soaps on
TV are nowadays? I mean, it's either people screaming having babies, people
shouting about car lots going down the drain, or like neighbours, just crap!
What are the people on who watch it? I mean, Bub...

Anyway I'll go away now. I'm probably boring you to death!
If you like my music you'll be able to find more of my original stuff
buzzing around on boards, as I've got a modem now!

My local board is ENGIMA BBS (01202) 848926 and my stuff can be found there
if it's unavailable else where. By the way I've not released much yet, so
so don't expect to find anything easily. Lucky you found this. Well that's
debatable.

Interesingly enough, or perhaps not, It is now suddenly 23-1-95. How?
Well It's type on a different day to the above. Simple, see? The reason
is, that you must be told that this file has had an extra update. Ok,
in fact, a correction. I was dumb enough to not notice that the lead
piano line was down by five tones! Yup, FIVE TONES! Being the fifth it
didn't actually notice too much. If this notice isn't on the end of your
file, you won't know anyway, but if it is, rest in harmony the fact that
you have a version that actually sounds correct (if not a little high!)
                                                        DD (23-1-95)
