2 OPENING WORDS PMR Information file v. 1.5

This file contains some information about Pantheon Music Releases, what it
is, how to contact PMR, what is released and so on. It will be updated for
every release. If you want to join, or want to remix PMR music read section 9.

Ehremm, it won't be updated entirely, only the release list will be updated for
EVERY release. And that's why, the version number MIGHT not change.

It should contain everything you would want to know about PMR, but if not,
read section 9.

3 WHAT IS PMR ? PMR Information file v. 1.5

Pantheon Music Releases (short PMR) is intended to be a computer music
'record label', mostly for musicians not in demo-groups, but they are welcome
too though. The reason why I started this, is obvious: I needed something to
release my own work thru, as I wasn't in any demo-group myself. An other reason
is, that it makes it possible to have easy contact ways: only one contact
person for a lot musicians, wich means a more structured concept.

Speaking of structured concept, I have started on a player, that enables
everyone to make Musicdiscs in a more 'album'-like way. I don't no yet, if it
will get finished, I'm not such a great coder, but I really hope so.

4 DISTIBUTION OF THE MUSIC PMR Information file v. 1.5

Becourse PMR is a 'record label', there are two kinds of releases, 'singles'
and 'albums'. The singles are FREEWARE and may be copied, listened to or even
remixed without any fee. If you want to remix some of the music, please read
section 9. The albums are SHAREWARE and may be copied freely, but if you want
to listen to them for more than 14 days, you'll have to registre. To encurage
you to registre, the fee will be low, and the songs won't be complete. All the
songs will be there, but there will be parts missing, and there may be bonus
songs on the registred version. The SHAREWARE concept is to enable people to,
in this case, see if the music is any good, before they bye it. And if the
music don't fall in the listeners taste, what's the point in delivering the
hole piece? The registred albums may NOT be copied for other reasons than back-
up. Singles already released on the album, will be complete though, in the
unregistred albums. Read section 9 for information on registration.

5 MEMBERS AT THIS TIME PMR Information file v. 1.5

The members are not members in the same sence, as members of a demo-group.
Musicians of demo-groups are also wellcome. The members just make the music, I
handle the rest.

7 THE HISTORY OF PMR PMR Information file v. 1.5

1994

PMR started. One person for a month or so, then Rigor Mortis & Tomb came
along and formed Megatrend. Made a WHQ-release with help from the Megatrenders.
Got new WHQ, as the contact with the old one disappeared. The new WHQ is
Mountain BBS.
Releases of the year: Lionheart 6

			 Megatrend 2

1995

Not much really happened this year. A couple of releases that's all.
Releases of the year: Lionheart 1

1996

Well, this year isn't over yet, but it does look like more activity. New
members have joined: DJ Djarhi, the group Unity (The Warrior X & JAS) and
DJ Xettil.
Releases of the year: DJ Djarhi 10

                         Unity 16

                         DJ Xettil 4

1997

Not much was heard from PMR the first seven months. This was due to a system
brake down at the WHQ. That was solved and the PMR artists could release their
work again. PMR changed its name from Plathon Music Releases to Pantheon Music
Releases. JAS changed his name to KLM. DJ Djarhi and DJ Xettil requested
removal of their songs up til this date (3/7-97). So DJARHI01-DJARHI10 and
XETTIL01-XETTIL04 are no longer available. They promised they would release new
songs though. Unity and Lionheart found together and made some music with each
other. Lionheart announced that Megatrends is an alias for himself.
Single-releases of the year: Unity 58

8 HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER PMR Information file v. 1.5

If you want to become a member of PMR, please fill out the form in the file
MEMBER.TXT. It doesn't require a lot. If only you make music, that's enough to
qualify as a member, almost. Send the form (see section 9), and some of your
work, and I'll get back to you. I'm not saying that you have to be brilliant,
but I just CAN'T accept everyone. The music HAS to be your own, samples and so
don't have to. I will send the terms, for YOU to accept, and the first release
might get out the same day I recieve that accept.
You can also make one or more remixes of the music. If you want to do that
fill out REMIX.TXT. It's not becourse there's a fee or something like that, nor
will you be in legal trouble, if you remix a song without filling the form. We
just want to now it, and mayby you could release the remix thru PMR, wich would
make it, an officiel remix.

10 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS PMR Information file v. 1.5

Q: Is PMR on the Net, Fido or something else?

A: As stated in section 9, we are represented on FidoNet, Mountain Online
Services (Mountain BBS), CMNet (Computer Music Net), Mountain Net, Internet
and some other nets using the FidoNet technology (look for Mountain BBS or
Bruno Olsen).

Q: How many members are there of PMR?

A: There are 7 members of PMR and we are always looking for new members.
Although the goal, of course, is to make people think 'great, yet an other
brilliant module for my PMR collection' and download it instantly, whenever
they see the name PMR or Pantheon Music Releases, experience and skill is no
opstickle to become a member. We are all beginners sometime, and an other goal
is to make people see they will have good opportunities to get far via PMR.

Q: You have said you were making an album-player. How does that work?

A: Unfortunately that program is not in sight in the near future. I still have
plans for it, but there are several things that pushes it into the future, like
time and economy. But when (NOT if) it's finished, it works like this: You
gather several modules into an album. The program will then play back the album
like a CD-player plays back a CD. The album-player will have the same
functionality as a CD-player, and there will be added some visual possibilities.
I don't know how and what those visual possibilities should work or be, yet, but
I have lots of ideas, so it's practically just a question of my skills and my
own possibilities.

Q: 'PMRINF13.TXT' sais that an album is first released as shareware and you have
to send a small amount to PMR after 14 days. Could you tell us more about that
idea and what the amount is and what the money goes to?

A: The idea with the shareware-albums is simply for us musicians to have an
opportunity to make just a little something of our creativity. As I picture it,
it will be something in the lines of making a 'demo-album' with parts of the
songs on the album, perhabs all of previously released singles (singles are
what we are already making), and when people pay for it, they receive the
'real' album, with all of all the songs. As of yet, I don't know what the amount
should be, it has never come that far yet, but when it comes that far, we'll
find out :)) The money is solely for the artist/group who made the album that
people are paying for. PMR, as an organisation, takes nothing. The only thing
to take into consideration is taxes, but PMR will leave that up to the
individual artist. It is ordinary modules that are used for the albums, but
in regards to the album-player, formats like XM can't be used. As a programmer
you sometimes have to compromise.

Q: How are the albums/singles released on the Net, Fido etc.? Is there made
some kind of cover (icon) or how does it work?

A: So far they are released the 'normal' way. Perhabs you've seen the archives
of our releases, and that's how it will look like when they are released. They
are put on Mountain BBS for downloading, and when I get that far with the
homepage they will be downloadable through that one too. New releases are
announced on FidoNet and there are so called file conferences available, so
people can get the new releases automatically. Regarding cover and icon, that's
something I thought of as a part of the concept of the album-player (ie. the
visual possibilities).

Q: What is a membership of PMR? Are there some kind of rules, will PMR own the
rights of the modules or are they still ours?

A: You will notice that I put an 'Copyright 199x Pantheon Music Releases' on
the file_id.diz', but in reality it's a 'split-deal'. That means the artist(s)
and PMR share the rights, most of them of course the artist(s) themselves. The
reason is, we'll appear as a bigger unit, and if some time there should be
rissen doubt about the rights for a module from people outside of PMR, we'll be
more people to stand up for our rights. In addition it's a question of
motivation. The motivation to help each other are simply bigger. It's not a
question about me taken away your copyright, not at all.
